Mykhailo Mudryk chat, Aubameyang clue: Four things spotted in Chelsea training ahead of Wolves
Todd Boehly will be hoping that Frank Lampard can put smiles back on the faces of Chelsea fans ahead of next season
Four things spotted in Chelsea training ahead of Wolves amid Mudryk chat
Frank Lampard took charge of his first session at Cobham training ground as Chelsea caretaker manager on Thursday afternoon – and there's already plenty of promising signs.
The 44-year-old will be hoping to begin his tenure with a win against Wolves as the Blues plot a late – and ambitious – charge for a Champions League qualification place. After losing to Aston Villa last weekend, the west London outfit slipped into the bottom half of the Premier League table, meaning they're now closer to the relegation zone than to fourth place.
Chelsea are 14 points behind Manchester United, but 12 points ahead of Bournemouth who find themselves in 18th. Despite the difficult challenges ahead for Lampard, he seems to have already got the players on board, smiling and having fun again.

So, with that being said, football.london has taken a look at the video released from Thursday's training session and picked out some interesting moments.
Lampard's 'Hazard chat' with Mudryk
Lampard was spotted having a little chat with Mykhailo Mudryk before training got underway. The Blues boss was heard offering the winger some advice while referencing Eden Hazard.
The Ukrainian has displayed glimpses of magic since joining Chelsea in January but, having arrived with little game time under his belt, he's struggled to hit the ground running. With the help of Lampard, Mudryk could really kick on between now and the the end of the season.
James and Fernandez embrace
James and Fernandez – arguably Chelsea's two best players – were filmed sharing a joke and then a hug. They've both been central to the Blues' success in recent weeks and Lampard will be hoping that the pair can continue their great performances.
Aubameyang's frown turned upside down
It's been widely-reported that Lampard tried to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during his stint as Chelsea boss, but higher-ups at the club opted for Timo Werner instead. The Gabon international struggled for game-time under Potter so he'll be hoping for a few more minutes now there's been a change of leadership.
Lampard shares joke with Pulisic
Lampard was seen sharing a joke with Christian Pulisic. The United States international is another player who struggled for minutes under Graham Potter and will be hoping that he can recapture the great form he once enjoyed under the Blues boss during lockdown.
